Event Recap: KMS Takes Off at DevDay Da Nang
On April 6th, Da Nang’s IT community gathered for the 5th annual DevDay. This yearly event is hosted by DevDay Da Nang, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring innovation by hosting events that share trending technology topics, spark discussion, and connect employers to local talent. Over the years, the events have connected over 5,000 industry experts, students, software engineers, educators, managers, and entrepreneurs. Over 2,600 people registered to attend this year’s event.
For our first year at DevDay Da Nang, KMS was a platinum sponsor for the event.
Conferences and Workshops
There were 46 speakers at the event, 4 of which were from KMS Technology and 2 from KMS’s software product incubator, UpStar Labs.
Workshops and conferences are typically focused around 4 main topics:
- Technology and Technique
- Career and Training
- Management
- Technology Startup
However, each year there is also an additional theme. This year’s workshop and conferences centered around why User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) is an important factor in software development and emerging trends in UI/UX development.

How to Test the Model AI
Minh Hoang, Senior QA Engineer
In this presentation, Minh shared AI testing tools, key indicators in AI testing, and how to evaluate AI models. Minh’s expertise stems from his 4 years of experience in software testing. He also runs the blog, ‘Tôi là Tester’ where he shares testing tips and his experiences with the testing community.
Agile & Scrum – The Power of Mastering Basic Knowledge
Son Tang, Director of Delivery
Son shared how to maximize the benefits of Agile and Scrum by ensuring that not only team leaders, but team members understand those benefits and how to achieve them. With 3 years of experience in full-stack web development, Son describes himself as a talented and passionate geek with expertise in agile and scrum practices.
Optimize Test Automation with Combined Solutions DevOps
Toan Le, Engineering Manager
In this workshop, Toan discussed DevOps solutions for test automation and automation’s role in the software development lifecycle. He reviewed test automation challenges and then went over industry tools and solutions to streamline the test automation process. He explained these solutions in the context of his 8 years of experience in software and full-stack testing.
Measure Agile Performance
Trung Nguyen, Director of Technology
In his presentation, Trung shared the challenges agile application teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) face when measuring processes and performance. He went on to explore instances where data can be taken to measure agile group effectiveness and how to break down problems into measurable units. Trung is KMS’s Director of Technology and spoke based on his years of experiences developing technical solutions, creating training programs, and technical and architectural expertise.
